Bombers Beat Visiting Armada, 4-1
|
South Carolina turned a good effort from starter Sotatsu Hayagawa into a win over the Quebec Armada at Bomber Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Hayagawa got the win, improving to 7-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Hayagawa allowed 1 earned run. Ed Armstrong converted his 5th save in 5 tries.
South Carolina center fielder Kiyonobu Yamasaki delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
