Bulldogs Score Late, Upend Ragin Cajuns, 4-2
|
The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns got a superb performance from pitcher Bryan Lee. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mississippi State. The Bulldogs won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Lee was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. Kyle Love got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Getting the save was Devonte Lebeaux, his 7th.
Matt Easton made it 3-2, Mississippi State, in the top of the eighth when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Bulldogs win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Easton.
The Bulldogs, at 10-10, have now won 4 straight.
