Ducks Jolt 49'ers with Late Rally
The Oregon Ducks stopped the Long Beach State 49'ers, 7-3, at Ballpark of Macclenny College. The Ducks got a big game from Zachary Long, who went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win was Robby Vaughan's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Andy Peixoto took the loss for Long Beach State. At 9-10, the Ducks are currently 13th in the Cliff Gustafson.

Oregon used the timely hitting of Hugo Rodriguez to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ducks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

Long called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
