|
The Florida Gators defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 6-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bismarck College, with Florida pitcher Ben Callahan named player of the game. Steve Paul nailed down his 5th save. The Gators bumped their record to 15-4 with this latest triumph.
Jose Lopez, who is rated as the 51st best prospect by BNN, aided the Florida cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances, while adding 2 RBI.
Lopez called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
