Multi-HR Day for Hendrix as Tigers Overpower Commodores, 8-5
|
The Clemson Tigers stopped the Vanderbilt Commodores, 8-5, at Magistrates Ballpark. The Tigers got a big game from Adam Hendrix, who went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Rich Tygart closed the door for Clemson, picking up his 3rd save of the year. Even with the win, the Tigers have a dismal 6-13 record.
Hendrix had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Tigers went on to win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hendrix told the Clemson Times. "It's as simple as that."
