The Baylor Bears stopped the USC Trojans, 8-3, at Nesquehoning College Fields. The Bears got a big game from Bill Henson, who slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ross Willbanks, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 3-0. The Bears bumped their record to 13-6 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when right fielder Jared Buckley, who is tied for 4th in the RDL in stolen bases with 5, drew a walk. The Bears went on to win.
Buckley called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
