The Tar Heels had to overcome a fine effort from Clemson pitcher Tommy Forbush to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Bruisers Ballpark. Forbush went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. North Carolina is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Brian Wheeler was the walk-off hero for North Carolina. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tar Heels second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Wheeler told the North Carolina Chronicle.
