Jayhawks Roll to 8-1 Win Over Cyclones
Conditions were not ideal but Kansas and Iowa State were able to put their game in the books.

The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Iowa State Cyclones, 8-1, at Brutes Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Kansas was center fielder Mark Bennick. He was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Curt Hargrave closed the door for Kansas, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Bennick had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Jayhawks went on to win.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bennick.

The Jayhawks raised their record to 8-9.
