The Arizona Wildcats defeated the Baylor Bears, 11-5, at Red Wings Ballpark. Arizona right fielder Justin King was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Arizona reliever Jerry Romero picked up the win to move to 1-0. Chad Flynn suffered the loss. Arizona now has a 3-game win streak.
