Victory Over Hurricanes Takes Virginia to 13-3
Miami right fielder Matt Malone had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-5, to Virginia at Gremlins Ballpark. Malone went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Virginia reliever Cody Botelho picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Rich Steele absorbed the loss. Virginia has now won 3 in a row.

The Cavaliers got a big at-bat from shortstop D.J. Schulte. For the game, Schulte went 1-4 with 2 walks. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 17th hit of the season gave Virginia a 5-4 lead.
