Tigers Drop Horned Frogs with Late Score
|
The TCU Horned Frogs got a sterling performance from designated hitter Christian Brown, but the Tigers still prevailed, 6-4. Brown was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Tigers bumped their record to 8-7 with this latest triumph.
Jason Hyslop swatted a 2-run home run for LSU in the bottom of the eighth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Hyslop told the LSU Daily. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
