McNamee Helps LSU Cruise to 14-2 Win
LSU played host to Long Beach State at the friendly confines of South Paris College Grounds.

The LSU Tigers topped the Long Beach State 49'ers, 14-2, in Rod Dedeaux League action at South Paris College Grounds. The player of the game was LSU second baseman Mark McNamee. Brad Harr closed the game out for LSU, earning his 1st save.

McNamee had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Tigers went on to win.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Richie Robertson.

The Tigers bumped their record to 7-7 with this latest triumph.
