Bears Take Nail-Biter Over Sun Devils
|
Chris Casper was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Arizona State Sun Devils. The right fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Baylor Bears. The Bears have an impressive 9-5 record.
Casper had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a full count cutter from Jon Duren, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Bears a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Casper.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Baylor manager Steve Oliver.
