Cougars Bang Out 10-5 Win Versus Oregon State
The Houston Cougars topped the Oregon State Beavers, 10-5, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Suns Ballpark. The player of the game was Houston second baseman Rob McCleary. Houston reliever Eric Bogen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Mike Thompson absorbed the loss. The Cougars have an impressive 8-5 record.

McCleary had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 cutter from Mike Thompson, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cougars a 8-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for McCleary.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said McCleary.
