Yellow Jackets Win at Vanderbilt, 4-1
|
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets topped the Vanderbilt Commodores, 4-1, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Barrow College. The player of the game was Georgia Tech pitcher Jeff Farrar. The 16th-place Commodores have lost 4 consecutive games.
Mike Backer aided the Georgia Tech cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
