Texans Need Extra Frames to Get Past Stogies
|
The Dallas Texans and Havana Stogies put on quite a show at The Humidor.
The Texans grabbed a win, 6-5, at The Humidor, overcoming a fine effort from Havana pitcher Joe Jackson. Jackson went 7 innings and allowed 5 earned runs. Dallas reliever Coco Yamashita picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Abdul Razzaq Kharoti took the loss.
Sean Clare's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a curveball from Abdul Razzaq Kharoti for a solo home run. It put Dallas in front, 6-5.
In postgame comments to the Dallas Bulletin, Clare said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The third-place Texans improved to 34-33.
