Maynard Helps Salukis Run Win Streak to 4
|
The South Illinois Salukis stymied the Florida State Seminoles, 5-0, at Ballpark of Riverdale College. Chris Maynard, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times for South Illinois. The 17th-place Salukis have won 4 straight.
Maynard had a key at-bat for South Illinois early in the game. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave South Illinois an early 1-0 lead.
