Multi-HR Game for Lopez in 10-0 Win

The Florida Gators knocked off the Vanderbilt Commodores, 10-0, at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Jose Lopez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Florida won. The designated hitter belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Florida has an impressive 9-3 record.
The Gators got a big at-bat from catcher Rich Monroe. For the game, Monroe was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Florida a 2-0 lead.
"The Gators definitely had our number," said Vanderbilt manager Álex Negrón.
