Multi-HR Game for Barker in 19-6 Win
The Michigan Wolverines beat the Iowa State Cyclones, 19-6, at Forney College Grounds. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Art Barker, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 9 RBI and scoring three times. Reliever Bobby Guess picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ayden Dixon took the loss. Michigan has an impressive 8-3 record.

Barker had a key at-bat for Michigan early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Michigan an early 3-0 lead.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Wolverines manager Micheal Wade. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
