The Baylor Bears got a superb performance from catcher John Rollins. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Cal State Fullerton. The Titans won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, Rollins was named the player of the game. He was 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Doug Gorski recorded the save for Cal State Fullerton, his 1st of the season. The win boosts the Titans to 6-5. The loss puts the Bears at 7-4.

Cal State Fullerton used the timely hitting of Zach Hicks to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Titans on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hicks told the Cal State Fullerton Herald. "It's as simple as that."
