The Kansas Jayhawks beat the South Carolina Gamecocks, 7-5, at Brutes Ballpark. Kansas catcher Doug Wilson earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Jayhawks bumped their record to 6-5 with this latest triumph.

Dylan Cooper aided the Kansas cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a double.
