Salukis Get Road Win, 4-2
|
South Illinois Salukis starter Elijah Allen turned in a top-notch performance against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Castles Ballpark. The result was a win for the Salukis, 4-2. Even with the win, the Salukis have a dismal 3-7 record.
South Illinois used the clutch hitting of Kevin Bryant to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to give the Salukis the lead, 3-1. For the game, Bryant had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bryant said after the game.
