The Miami Hurricanes grabbed a 5-2 win over the Auburn Tigers at Gremlins Ballpark. Miami shortstop Ryan Murphy was 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. Rory Elliot picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Matt Weaver was tagged with the loss. Even with the win, the Hurricanes have a dismal 3-7 record.
Murphy had a key at-bat for Miami early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and gave Miami an early 2-0 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Murphy said after the game.
