Tigers Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
John Schafer helped his team muscle past the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 6-4. In the game, the Clemson third baseman was 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Jay Vaughan picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mark Doggett was tagged with the loss. The Tigers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 9 games.
Justin White's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Clemson. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Clemson leading 5-4, the catcher reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Schafer said.
