5-3 Win by Bulldogs Continues Hot Start
The Bulldogs faced a stiff challenge from California pitcher Miguel Salmeron, but persevered to claim a win at Brooks College Grounds. The final score was 5-3. Salmeron went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Fresno State, at 8-1, is off to a blistering start.

Had Jeremy Ross not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ross hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Bulldogs.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Ross said.
