Sun Devils Rough Up Wildcats, Take 16-1 Win
|
The Arizona State Sun Devils beat the Arizona Wildcats, 16-1, at Red Wings Ballpark. Arizona State right fielder Brent Driggs earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 4. Travis Gibson earned the win for Arizona State. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing no earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. Bobby Scott locked down his 1st save.
