Stone Hits 2 home runs in Bulldogs Win
|
The Fresno State Bulldogs beat the Texas Longhorns, 9-4, at Ballpark of Celebration College. Fresno State left fielder Danny Stone earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Mike True earned the win for Fresno State. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. The Bulldogs, now 7-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Giovanni Patrick, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Bulldogs organization, chipped in for Fresno State with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
