The Florida State Seminoles picked up a win at Ballpark of Riverdale College, knocking off the Virginia Cavaliers, 4-3. On the mound for Florida State was right-hander Matt Adams, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Florida State reliever Andy Wright, now 2-0. The loser was Kris Richardson. Losses have been rare for the Cavaliers, who are now 6-1.

The Seminoles got a big at-bat from first baseman Mike Miller. For the game, Miller was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Florida State a 4-3 lead.

"This place was electric at the end," Miller said.
