Razorbacks Jolt Demon Deacans with Late Rally
|
In a tight contest at Cypress Quarters College Grounds, the Arkansas Razorbacks edged the Wake Forest Demon Deacans by the score of 4-3. Arkansas designated hitter Andrew Taylor, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. The winner was Devin Carpenter in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Scott took the loss. Lance Robinson finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Taylor had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from John Scott, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Razorbacks a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Taylor.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Taylor said.
The win leaves Arkansas with a record of 3-4.
