Seeger Slugs Volunteers to 11-5 Win
|
The Tennessee Volunteers stopped the Ohio State Buckeyes, 11-5, at Madera College Grounds. The Volunteers got a big game from Ian Seeger, who slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6. With the win, Tennessee is 4-3.
Seeger had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Jeremy Hebert, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Volunteers a 6-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Seeger.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Seeger. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
