Wolverines Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Missouri Tigers, 6-2, at Ballpark of Ridge College today. Leading the charge for Michigan was catcher Bob Roth. He went 2-4 with a home run. Dan Beard got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. James Arnold closed the game out for Michigan, earning his 3rd save.
Marcus Clayton helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Michigan a 2-0 lead.
Clayton called the win "a collective effort."
The Wolverines, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
