Orgain goes 3-for-4, Rebels Move to 4-1
|
The Ole Miss Rebels bested the TCU Horned Frogs by a score of 9-2, with center fielder Shane Orgain getting the main credit. On the day, Orgain was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Rebels. Brian Thomas got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The Rebels keep rolling, raising their record to 4-1.
Sean Brown aided the Ole Miss cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs.
