The South Carolina Gamecocks grabbed a 6-2 win over the Michigan Wolverines at Siege Ballpark. South Carolina right fielder Travis Stanford was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. South Carolina, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Stanford had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Gamecocks went on to win.

"Feels good to get the job done," Stanford said after the game.
