The Yellow Jackets had to overcome a good performance from Indiana State pitcher Christian Barnes to claim a 5-4 win at Pit Vipers Ballpark. Barnes went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The win pushes Georgia Tech to a record of 2-2.

The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from first baseman Jamie Fisher. For the game, Fisher was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Georgia Tech a 5-3 lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Indiana State manager Philip Lilly.
