Seminoles Get Road Win, 10-7
|
Arkansas center fielder Sean Howard was sensational. He was 4 for 5 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Florida State beat the Razorbacks, 10-7. Howard was named the player of the game despite the loss. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Seminoles hope to make a postseason run.
Walt Muller, who is rated as the 14th best prospect by BNN, aided the Florida State cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Muller told a Florida State Daily reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
