Wolverines Get Road Win, 5-2
|
Michigan Wolverines starter Evan Thomas pitched a strong game against the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ballpark of Bloomfield College, leading the Wolverines to a 5-2 win. In 6 innings, Thomas surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. James Arnold closed the game out for Michigan, earning his 2nd save.
Nate Trainum aided the Michigan cause with a solo home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 5 with a home run.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Thomas said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Wolverines, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
