|
Matt Drake victimized Texas Longhorns hurlers today, smashing 4 home runs in a herculean effort that will go down in the Rod Dedeaux League record books.
In an epic hitting spree at Crowley College Grounds, the Mississippi State left fielder went downtown again and again, leading the Bulldogs to a 8-6 triumph. He went 4-for-4, drove in 6 runs and scored 4 times in the historic game.
"The first ones just happened," he said later, discussing the game. "However, that last time, I was swinging for the fences -- and WHAM -- I nailed it."
Matt Drake hit a two-run home run off Matt Gordon in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Matt Gordon in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eric McElveen in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Justin Henderson in the 7th.
