Goodwill Slugs Demon Deacans to 11-9 Win
The Oklahoma Sooners inaugurated the 2033 campaign with a disappointing 11-9 loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacans at Biglerville College Fields. Wake Forest right fielder Bill Goodwill had a big impact on the outcome. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Wake Forest reliever Austin Sheckler was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Kyle Larson took the loss. Vic Horn earned the save for Wake Forest, his 1st.

The Demon Deacans got a big at-bat from designated hitter Casey Ickes. For the game, Ickes was 1 for 6 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Wake Forest a 4-0 lead.
