The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got their 2033 USA NCAA DIVISION I season off to a good start, defeating the North Carolina Tar Heels, 6-5. Dan Davis went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. For his pace-setting performance, he was named player of the game.
The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from second baseman Ross Worsham. For the game, Worsham went 1-3. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Georgia Tech a 6-5 lead.
"This wasn't a good win," said Davis. "It was a great win."
