Tsuneto Ezaki left his imprint on the 14-2 Nichols win against the Winfield Warriors. Ezaki, who is tied for 8th in the BOL in home runs with 24, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 4. Sandy Cobos got the save, his 1st in 3 chances. Even with the win, the Gnats have a dismal 56-106 record.

Luke Van Ness, who is tied for 6th in the BOL in stolen bases with 39, aided the Nichols cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-6 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We did a lot of things right," said Van Ness.
