Hornets Come Back Late to Clip Sting
The Hornets had to overcome a fine performance from Houston pitcher José López to grab a 5-4 win at Hornets Field. López allowed 1 earned run over 6.1 innings. The winner was Yuujin McCool in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jeff Van Wormer took the loss. Bethesda is now 89-71, 2 games up in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Bethesda trailing 4-2, Ramón Roniero hit a cutter from Jeff Van Wormer to right for a bases-clearing triple. Just like that, the Hornets had a walk-off win.

"It was a solid team effort," said Roniero after the game.
