Romirez Sensational for Saints
Tomas Romirez never let the Lake Monsters get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Saints to a 5-1 win. The Saints bumped their record to 83-75 with this latest triumph.

Romirez's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 11 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 3 hits. Romirez goes to 6-1 on the year with 74 strikeouts.

"We'll savor this win," Romirez told the St. Paul News, "then get ready for the next game."
