Though the conditions were not ideal, the San Angelo Mustangs and Nichols Gnats came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
A 5-RBI performance from the 21-year old second baseman Manuel Infante helped the San Angelo Mustangs beat the Nichols Gnats, 6-3. Dan Garcia got the save, his 2nd in 5 chances.
Infante had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch cutter from Emilio Aguinaga, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Mustangs a 5-3 lead. It was the 38th double of the year for Infante.
"We'll savor this win," Infante told the San Angelo Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
The Mustangs bumped their record to 95-64 with this latest triumph.
