Williams Helps Houston Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Houston Sting met little resistance from the Bel Air Princes, beating them 12-3 at Woodland Park. Dylan Williams led the way. He was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Houston. Tim Marchman was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The Sting bumped their record to 87-71 with this latest triumph.

The Sting got a big at-bat from shortstop Bob Hern. For the game, Hern was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 19th double of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hern. "And not try to do too much."
