Multi-HR Game for Ford in 6-4 Win
A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Wayne Ford, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, led the Eureka Hornets to a 6-4 win over the Kansas City Tornadoes. Eureka reliever Alim bin Umar was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Bryan Lynch took the loss for Kansas City. Elliott Rogers, credited with the save, is now 18 for 22 in save opportunities.

José Zavala hit a run-scoring triple off Bryan Lynch in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Hornets in front, 5-4. Zavala had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ford.

The Hornets saw their win-loss record go to 36-29. At the same time, the Tornadoes fell to 20-46.
