Cyclones Come Back Late to Clip Knights
Coney Island played host to Kingwood at the friendly confines of Coney Island Coliseum.

With catcher Devon LeBrecht leading the charge, the Coney Island Cyclones defeated the Kingwood Knights, 7-4, at Coney Island Coliseum. LeBrecht went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Coney Island reliever Dave Dyke was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Zane Gunter took the loss.

Had Carlos Gonzalez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Gonzalez hit a 2-run double. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Cyclones.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gonzalez told the Coney Island Bulletin.

The Cyclones saw their record improve to 68-89.
