San Angelo starter Kunio Otsuka pitched effectively against the Nichols Gnats at The Pond. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. In 6 innings, Otsuka surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. The Mustangs bumped their record to 94-63 with this latest triumph.
Antonio Santana aided the San Angelo cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
