Black Squirrels Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Princes

Bel Air pitcher Manuel Pena gave the Black Squirrels all they could handle, but in the end, Tree City left The Nut House with a 3-0 win. Pena allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings. Cory Kieck converted his 42nd save in 48 tries. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 82-74 with this latest triumph.
Tree City right fielder Cole Capone delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Bel Air skipper Leland Austin, "and it cost us."
