Frosties Raise Rally Flag, Beat St. Petersburg, 3-2
|
Barrow Frosties starter Josh Shumpert was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 3-2. Barrow reliever Craig Collier picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Marlon Douglas took the loss. The third-place Frosties improved to 78-79.
Winn Miller was the walk-off hero for Barrow. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Frosties pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Shumpert said.
