Miner Sensational for Stogies
|
Aloha Stadium was the site for Roberto Clemente League action featuring the Hawaii Islanders and Havana Stogies.
The Havana Stogies racked up a win at Aloha Stadium, bumping off the Hawaii Islanders, 7-3. Peter Miner, who started for Havana, pitched effectively for his team. Abdul Razzaq Kharoti, credited with the save, is now 25 for 25 in save opportunities.
Miner, who was born in Yellowknife, Canada, threw 113 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 earned run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Miner.
The first-place Stogies have won 4 in a row.
